A firm handshake when you look into a person’s eyes can tell you a lot about them. What motivates me and what I stand for is love, respect, heritage and my family tradition. I was raised by Italian immigrant parents with an old world charm. Their beliefs have carried on this day through my family and me as I try to always do the right thing and raise my wonderful children with those qualities instilled in me by my parents. I was born in Chatham, Ontario, Canada in 1971, the oldest of three boys. My family made their living in the resturant and pizzeria business. All of those recipes brought back from the old country for everyone to enjoy. A few years spent in Canada and suddenly we were off to Italy because of my parent’s nostalgic memories. We learned to speak the language at a very young age, and very glad that we did.

Mingling with our newly acquainted surroundings, we were forced to follow in my father’s footsteps as he had grown up. We began to understand the true meaning of family values and how truly lucky my brothers and I were to experience such a fantastic country and all the wonders it had to offer. With a brief vote the family decided to move back to Canada where schooling was top priority. It was said that the Canadian education system was one of the best in the world, so there my brothers and I finished our schooling. Another family decision determined that Florida would be our next stop. Growing up, my family had always enjoyed the benefits of owning Italian restaurants and pizzerias. We joked that we were lucky because we ate like kings since my mother had food aplenty. We traveled to Clearwater beach, where my father had the great idea of a family restaurant, with me, Vincenzo, making pizzas in the front of the restaurant; my younger brother, Frank, servicing the customers; and my youngest brother, Mark cooking away in the kitchen beside my mother. I must say this was an experience for us all, as it paved the way for the years to come. Some minor problems arose and the family went their separate ways to explore different avenues. A stint in the real estate market for a few years and I found myself with the itch to own an Italian restaurant; I had missed it too much. So, we find ourselves here, now, at Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant. What started off many years ago has finally settled my heart and my family amongst all my friends and the true dining experience that we offer. All those great recipes my mother has known for years, along with the classics and many of my personal favorites are all here for everyone to enjoy. As the cycle of life goes on, I foresee the incredible values being instilled in my two boys as it happened to me. There is not much more a proud father could ask for. At the same time, remembering all the fun and memories, I hope that they too can someday look back and enjoy and remember all that has and all that will happen to them as the years go on.
